Brad Tinsley and Garrett Sim Update

Information was passed along to Ducks Illustrated late last night that shed some more light on the rumored committment from Garrett Sim from Sunset High school in the Portland area.

According to our source Garrett Sim was committed to Cal and the former coach Ben Braun. Now that Braun is no longer the coach at Cal he asked and was given his release of letter of intent. He opened his recruitment back up and found out Ernie Kent and Oregon were very interested in Sim and offered a scholarship.

But what about Brad Tinsley, the other 6A Co-Player of the year that Oregon offered? It appears from our source that Tinsley is expecting a starting position where he lands and wants to start right away. With Oregon briniging in an already loaded wing class along with returning players who are capable of starting it appears that demand can't be fulfilled at Oregon. Tinsley will have to prove to the coaches he deserves to start once he would get to Oregon.

So now it appears that Kent and his staff might have cooled down on Tinsley and moved over to Garrett Sim, and Sim appears to have accepted or is taking a hard look at playing for the Ducks.

Keep checking in to Ducks Illustrated for more updates regarding this recruitment.
